Rachel Brocker is a 28 year old, life-long church junkie and pastor’s kid (and grandkid and niece and great-niece) who is following in her family member’s footsteps and becoming a pastor. She has been accepted to the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago for Fall 2011, and is eagerly awaiting August 21st, the day she rolls out of Portland in her little Nissan Sentra, headed to the land of her birth. She was, in fact, born at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, in the student apartments (accidently – there was no time to get to the hospital), while her dad was attending seminary there in 1982. She plans to spend the next four years reading the Bible, writing lots of papers, praying without ceasing (for divine intervention with Greek comprehension), worshiping non-stop, and having no free time. Except to call her mother.
